Zia Elementary
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Zia elementary has a Parent-Teacher Association. The purpose of the PTA is for teachers and parents to work together on behalf of the children at Zia. The Zia PTA is part of our school's leadership, and works to promote the school's mission. The PTA's projects directly support all children and the meetings are a good way to keep up with what's happening at school. All parents are encouraged to join. You can make a difference! Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. Childcare and dinner are provided. We hope to see you there!

Thanks to the involvement of Zia families and friends, the Zia Elementary PTA has:
  • Funded a new climbing wall in the gym

  • Donated financially to the APS clothing bank

  • Provided new books for Zia classrooms

  • Hosted a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

  • Supported the Zia Science Fair & Spelling Bee

  • Provided snacks for testing days

  • Coordinated school photos and yearbooks

  • Sponsored classroom field trips

  • Organized and hosted community events, such as: the Zia Follies,
    Ziathon, Halloween Carnival, Ice Cream Socials, Movie Night,
    Kindergarten Tea & Tissue, and much more.
